Montaluce Winery Wedding Venue With Stunning Tuscan Features!

May 23, 2024

Montaluce Winery gives you a chance to take a tour around Tuscany without ever leaving the state of Georgia. With sprawling vineyards surrounding a picturesque villa, this space is ready to give you the perfect wedding day. As a Georgia wedding photographer, I have gotten the chance to experience the beauty of this vineyard firsthand. Here is what you can expect when you plan a Montaluce Winery wedding!

About The Montaluce Winery Wedding Venue

501 Hightower Church Road, Dahlonega, Georgia 30533There is a lot of magic amidst the Georgia Mountains. Montaluce Winery saw that right from the very beginning of their journey. The soil was rich, the sun was just right, and the climate was completely unique. They decided they wanted to create a winery where they could produce world-class wines without leaving the South. The result was the award-winning Montaluce Winery and wedding venue that brings in visitors from all across the country. They have created this space to be a total experience.

When you step foot on the grounds, you are invited to take a front-row seat in the winemaking process. You can walk across the rows of grapes and hear the story that goes into each blend. They also have a restaurant where you can pair your wine of choice with farm-fresh meals. The vineyard knows how to take each day and turn it into a celebration. With their weddings, you will have an unforgettable day spent in a world all of your own!

Details of the Grounds

When you plan your wedding at Montaluce Winery, you will have a designated spot for every moment of your wedding day. Your morning will start on-site at the Villa. The winery has both a bridal suite and a groom’s room that is available 4.5 hours before your wedding day begins. These spaces feature a mini fridge stocked with water, sodas, and, of course, champagne! You can sit back and relax while you prepare for the day alongside your wedding party.

For your ceremony, you will have your choice of both indoor and outdoor spaces. If you want to take full advantage of the views, The Oak Tree might just be your spot. The namesake tree is situated in front of the vineyards, giving you the perfect backdrop as you exchange your vows. This space is suited to hold up to 200 guests. If you would prefer something paved, The Vineyard Outlook is an absolute dream! Located in the shadow of the villa, your guests will have a flat and accessible space to sit while you hold your ceremony overlooking the Georgia Hills. This area is able to hold up to 200 guests.

The Le Vigne Terrace serves as the best of both worlds. This covered space features open arches that let in surrounding views. With minimal decorations, it continues to shine! This space can host up to 100 guests. For those hosting a microwedding, I think you will fall in love with The Tuscany Terrace. This space is similar to The Le Vigne Terrace with open views of the surrounding nature. It can accommodate up to 40 of your closest friends and family.

The Wine Room And Beyond At The Montaluce Winery Wedding Venue

Inside, the Wine Production Room offers a magic you just cannot find anywhere else. The Italian-inspired space is dimly lit with one arched window that lets in a little sun. When you add candles and flowers, it quickly becomes intimate and cozy. This space is able to host up to 200 guests. It can also serve as a backup option should your outdoor location get rained out.

For your cocktail hour, you will be able to use the terraces as well as The Vineyard Overlook. Your guests can sample the winery’s offerings as you take pictures around the premises.

For your wedding reception, The Le Vigne Room tends to be a favorite Montaluce Winery spot! This area has the attached terrace where your guests can grab some fresh air before heading back inside to dance. The space has crisp white walls accented with dark wood accents. Cast iron chandeliers light up the space while wall sconces add a bit of old world charm. This area can hold up to 175 guests.

If you would prefer an outdoor location, the venue allows you to use The Vineyard Outlook, though they do require a tent rental so you can be prepared for inclement weather.

Photography Opportunities

As a wedding photographer, I have gotten the chance to travel across Montaluce Winery, and there are countless romantic spots for your wedding portraits. The villa itself gives you a picture-perfect spot for individual portraits. With the getting-ready suites, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities for candid portraits. For your first look pictures, you can head outside and walk along the trails that go across the winery. The exterior is a dream for group portraits with your entire wedding party. As the sun starts to set during the golden hour, you will have the most breathtaking backdrop!

Victoria & Paul’s Intimate & Romantic Montaluce Winery Wedding

The day began with the sweetest first look between the bride & groom. Overwhelmed by the magnitude of the moment, Paul’s emotions overflowed, tears welling in his eyes as he saw Victoria for the first time. His emotions, raw and unfiltered, spoke volumes of the depth of their love for each other.

Guests gathered beneath a canopy of greenery overlooking the vineyards. With the sun setting behind them, it was a moment of pure magic that would be etched in their hearts forever.

As glasses clinked and laughter filled the air, it was clear that this was more than just a wedding. It was a celebration of life, love, and the simple pleasures that bring us together.

The dance floor came alive with the sound of music and laughter. Couples twirled beneath the stars, their movements as graceful as the vines that surrounded them. It was impossible not to feel the magic of the moment. A moment where love and joy were truly in abundance.

As I watched the newlyweds disappear into the night, hand in hand, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for being a part of such a special day. In the heart of Montaluce Winery, amidst the vines and the laughter, Victoria & Paul had created a celebration that was as beautiful and timeless as their love.
